Important Information Regarding Standardized Testing
We strongly encourage all students to be present on the scheduled testing dates. Student attendance on these specific days is vital to ensure that every student can participate in the standardized testing process alongside their classmates and within the established school schedule. Testing dates are mandatory components of the academic calendar, and full participation is expected.
Punctuality and Testing Start Time
The testing session will commence promptly at 8:30 am. To maintain the integrity and required security of the testing environment, students must be in their assigned homeroom at 8:15 am and prepared to begin at this time. Students who arrive subsequent to (after) the tardy bell will not be permitted to participate in testing for that day. Late arrivals disrupt the standardized testing environment for all students and compromise the security protocol. We cannot make exceptions for late arrivals, as per state testing regulations. Please ensure transportation arrangements allow for a timely arrival.
Scheduling and Appointments
Please do not make any scheduled appointments or any other out-of-school engagements on the designated testing days. Absence from even a portion of the testing session can significantly compromise the student's capacity to complete the required assessment and may necessitate a make-up session, which presents an administrative burden. Your support in prioritizing these testing dates is imperative for the successful and effective completion of the testing cycle.
Visitors and School Security
To maintain a secure, quiet, and focused environment essential for high-stakes testing, visitors will not be permitted to join students for lunch or any other part of the school day on testing dates. Our commitment is to provide an optimal and distraction-free setting for all students taking these important assessments. We ask for your understanding regarding these necessary security and focus measures. Regular visitor policies will resume on non-testing days.
Per state guidelines, students MAY NOT be in possession of any electronic devices during testing - such as cell phones, smartwatches, and bluetooth earbuds or headphones.
